We all know when we smile and laugh it feels
really good, but did you know that smiling and laughing even when
we don’t feel happy or amused, will make the the muscles in the
face send messages to the brain, which will cause the
neurotransmitter endorphins to be released?
These endorphins cause feelings of happiness and also reduces
cortisol levels to lower. So if you are wake up and are not feeling in
the best of mood, smiling to yourself or watching something funny,
will actually cause your mood to be boosted. And the run on effects
for smiling more can positively affect relationships and longevity.
