Today I’m talking food and all the favourite things. For me I usually really like to pair my food with the seasons and for me, winter food is all about comfort food and comfort eating. With ‘stay at home’ and COVID-19 having happened, baking and making has also been a theme at our place.
We’ve gotten pretty good in our house making flat bread-as soft taco’s are a massive favourite with everyone and pizza dough-also a Friday night favourite.
There is something about fresh, warm bread that is so comforting and delicious. Having actually successfully made it ourselves also brings a huge sense of achievement-as cooking is certainly not my strength! It’s also been great to see my kids get involved and interested in it-something I’m thrilled to see.
And whilst winter has just begun, as someone who loves the warmth, I’m already longing for the days when the menu shifts to a spring/summer focus – because generally speaking these are the meals and menu that I most prefer, but in the meantime I will enjoy my homemade pizzas! And another thing I love about pizza making is that it can now be enjoyed with my extended family, as for me favourite food should be enjoyed with your favourite people!
