Last night in week 5 of our online Tuning into Kids group we continued
learning about emotion coaching children, but this week we got to discuss
and focus on anger! One of the most challenging emotions to emotion
coach and respond appropriately to. Here is a little taste of what was
covered in this session:

Three steps to helping your child with emotion coaching their anger:

1) look at how you manage your own anger-modelling is important

2) Identify strategies for getting rid of strong energy and for calming down
lower levels of anger

3) Look for the emotion underneath your child’s anger and use empathy to
connect with this.
